The Andun Engineering Consultants West Midlands and East Midlands offices recently visited the MGF offices in Rugeley for some practical CPD training.
As a specialist temporary works design and demolition engineering consultancy we work on a wide range of schemes many of which require propping systems.
Our independence means we are able to focus on finding the right engineering solutions to problems, so we develop our engineers to have a good understanding of different proprietary temporary works solutions.
Session Overview
The session’s objective was to help the team understand the proprietary temporary works solutions MGF can provide, focusing on the Unishore propping system.
The team got the opportunity to get an overview of the solution from a design and practical perspective. The main activity during the session was a seminar and practical demonstration of the Unishore system.
This was a brilliant opportunity to develop team-building and collaboration skills as the offices worked together to build the tower. The design that was drawn up for the team was designed to showcase many types of fixtures and fittings that can be used.
Engineer Development
We see developing the knowledge and skills of our engineers as an integral part of our success.
This was also an opportunity for the two offices to come together using practical elements of the session to create a great session to strengthen teamwork and collaboration.
AEC Director, Joshua Martin
Keeping our team informed of the latest Temporary Works solutions gives the team a broad range of options when designing engineering solutions.
CPD sessions like this one are great for bringing the team together and building awareness of the different solutions available and may prove invaluable for projects in the future.
Thank you to Matt Quatrello and Mark Gent for hosting a CPD session for us.
The session was a huge success, and we look forward to taking advantage of similar opportunities in the future.
